Carebase's New Claremont Court Guildford Holds Professionals Open Day
Carebase , a group of private care homes specialising in nursing, residential and dementia care in the South East and East Anglia, held a Professionals Open Day at its new Claremont Court specialist dementia care home on Monday 26 September.
Claremont Court invited local professionals to come along and explore the wonderful new home on Monday 26 September. Carebase’s Head of Dementia Care and staff from the home were all on hand to explain the specialist dementia care and facilities that are on offer to residents at Claremont Court; demonstrating the modern, interactive therapies used and answer any questions.
Carebase knows how important it is for local professionals to see what the local care homes offer when giving advice and guidance on care options and provision. Claremont Court offers exceptional, specialist dementia care, which sets it apart from many of the care homes in the area.
Professionals also had the chance to meet David Sheard of Dementia Care Matters, a company Carebase has been working closely with since July 2009 in its commitment to make its dementia care exceptional. The model used helps improve the quality of the lived experience, not only of residents living with a dementia, but for all residents in its care.
The newly built Claremont Court <http://www.carebase.org.uk/care-homes/claremont-court-care-home-now-open> opened in September and is home to 57 spacious en-suite rooms providing specialist dementia care. It has been carefully designed, using light and space intelligently, to provide the best in care whilst providing residents with outstanding facilities including a bar, cinema, hair salon, library and sensory gardens.
The wonderful gardens are a big feature at the home and several of the ground floor rooms boast their own garden area.
Carebase has a unique culture of care and ensures that every resident’s needs are catered for, treating every person like a VIP. Along with the excellent modern facilities and excellent dementia care, Claremont Court will have a full activities schedule that includes trips out, tea dances and entertainer visits.
Nicola Coveney, Managing Director, Carebase, says: “We are delighted to bring a second Carebase home to the Guildford community. Claremont Court will provide a fresh approach to dementia care and the home has been designed to fulfill all our residents’ needs. We very much enjoyed welcoming the local professionals so they could come and see for themselves.” 2011-10-26 10:06:35
