Sanctuary Home Care Wins Basingstoke Contract

Sanctuary Home Care wins Basingstoke contract

Leading care provider Sanctuary Home Care has recently been awarded a major contract to supply care for people in their own homes at a new extra care scheme in Basingstoke.

Newman Court is a new development in Gershwin Road, Basingstoke, offering residents their own home with the security of the care and support they need to continue to live independent lives.

The scheme, owned by the housing association Saxon Weald, contains 64 one and two bedroom apartments, of which 30 are for sale and 34 are available to rent. Sanctuary will be providing care, on behalf of Hampshire County Council, for the next three years across the rented properties. People who own their apartments at Newman Court can also purchase care from Sanctuary Home Care.

Angela Strevens, Sanctuary’s registered manager for Newman Court, said: “We are absolutely delighted to have been awarded the contract for Newman Court. We are looking forward to getting to know the residents and supporting them with the individually tailored support each of them needs to continue to live independently in their own homes.”

Newman Court offers a number of communal areas for the residents and guests, including a restaurant. Sanctuary’s care team will have an on-site ‘Care Suite’ and a scheme manager from Saxon Weald will also be there from Mondays to Fridays.

Sanctuary Home Care offers support to people across the South in their own homes, from helping with cleaning or shopping to a more comprehensive care package including dressing, bathing and cooking. Anyone who would like to find out more about the help that Sanctuary Home Care can provide should contact the team on 0208 447 5300.
