The Lord Mayor Of Canterbury Wishes Connors House A Happy Christmas


In celebration of Christmas, The Lord Mayor of Canterbury, Councillor Ian Thomas, visited the residents at pic_1.jpgConnors House, part of The Abbeyfield Kent Society. The Society is one of the largest providers of residential and supported care in the South East, providing care for over 500 older people across 16 homes throughout Kent.

 

To brighten up the day for the Connors House residents’, The Lord Mayor of Canterbury spent the morning chatting to them, listening to their stories and being shown around the home.

 

It is days such as this that makes a big difference to the residents, particularly around the Christmas period. The Lord Mayor’s visit made a big impact on the home, creating a buzzing atmosphere through out.

 

The Lord Mayor of Canterbury comments:

“It has been brilliant being able to come and say happy Christmas to the residents and staff at Abbeyfield Connors House. Connors House is such a great care home to come and visit, I have thoroughly enjoyed chatting to the residents and getting to know them.”

 

Ash Dhokia, Area Business Manager at Abbeyfield Kent comments:

“Our residents have thoroughly enjoyed Councillor Ian Thomas’s visit. It really makes such a difference to them to be able to have that sort of interaction with a figure such as The Lord Mayor of Canterbury. They haven’t stopped talking about the visit since he left; he has made the residents here feeling very happy.”

 

The Abbeyfield Kent Society is a registered charity, with all the profits the organisation makes go to ensuring a higher standard of living for residents.
